Stayed at the Acorn Inn when in town for a Finger Lakes getaway and a concert at CMAC. It's a great choice that deserves it's strong reputation. The Inn is a very well kept property in a quiet area 15 minutes southwest of downtown Canandiagua. Innkeeper Sheryl was very helpful and gracious, with great knowledge of the area. Breakfast was an interesting, delicious meal every morning. We stayed in the Barn Suite, which was spacious, well appointed, and extra quiet. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for a quiet weekend away in the Finger Lakes region. Highlights include the hot tub in the romantic courtyard and the lovely lounge. Certainly worth the price of admission. We will certainly return for a stay in the future.

We noticed immediately many of the little touches that Sheryl takes care to make sure your stay is comfortable. The morning conversations over coffee and breakfast with Sheryl and the other guests really made our stay so much more enjoyable; it was wonderful getting to know everyone a little bit. Check-out was even easier than checking in. We only stayed 2 nights but we're already looking for more reasons to return and stay longer. Thank you, Sheryl, for a wonderful, memorable, hospitable stay. It truly was the highlight of our long weekend!

From the moment we arrived, she made us feel just like family. We stayed in the Hotchkiss room and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, and the surrounding grounds were absolutely breathtaking. Choosing to stay at Sheryl's labor of love was a fantastic choice, and her breakfasts were amazing! We already look forward to returning. We miss you, Sheryl!

Tony Dorazio2025-11-05Spent time in Naples and Canandaigua, great location to travel from. 1795 was quiet, great amenities, and the breakfast was perfect. For a B&B, when you have a wonderful host, and a comfortable bed with good eats and snacks, what more do you want.
