The Barn Suite, with its comfortable décor, is located about 25 feet from the Inn. Spacious and private, the deluxe Suite features a king-size and a twin-size sleigh bed on opposite sides of the room, making it the perfect space to accommodate three guests or two guests that require separate sleeping arrangements. Two chairs and an ottoman rest in front of the thermostatically-controlled fireplace, the main source of heat during the winter and perfect for a chilly fall night. A split unit A/C was also added to cool the Suite and is so quiet you will hardly know it’s on. The modern bathroom features a shower/tub combo and a host of personal amenities just in case you forgot a few of your own.
The galley kitchen, complete with microwave, refrigerator, and many kitchen accessories allow you to bring your own groceries and stay in for the evening. Of course the Barn Suite has everything you need to enjoy a glass of local wine or beer. A small slate terrace provides an unobstructed view of your own semi-private garden with a pond. Lovely perennials bloom throughout most seasons.
Our Barn Suite is the only animal-friendly and kid-friendly suite on the property. Our main Inn, which houses the Angell, Wilder and Hotchkiss Rooms, as well as the Bristol Suite, cannot accommodate small animals and children under twelve. Children under twelve and small animals may not join us for breakfast in the main inn. A full breakfast can be brought to your room at 9:00 am for a nominal fee or you may opt out of breakfast for a reduced rate. Please call the Inn to ensure we can accommodate your small child or children and small animal prior to making a reservation. Animals may not be left in the room unattended unless in a crate. If you indicate a third person will be staying in the Suite, the sleigh bed will automatically be prepared for you and additional toiletries and towels will be supplied. The fee is $35 per night. If you are double occupancy and wish to use the extra bed, please let the Innkeeper know in advance of your stay so that she can make up the sleigh bed. That fee is $25 per night.
